Live video node

Post by javier » 17 Oct 2012, 11:42

This is a repeat of a post I sent in February but I have no answer.
Hi, I'm trying to use my laptop in the node Live video, but whenever I select to add Ventuz closes. I used it on other computers and it works, but my laptop does not work even if I change the camera or capture card. Any ideas?

i guess your graphics card may not be suitable for this.
is your laptop using and old onboard chip?
video ram could be an issue too.
if you post your pc specs, maybe someone can help you

HI Javier!

Did I understand correctly?
If you add a Live Video node to your Ventuz scene on your Laptop, Ventuz crashes?
Is this correct?

Best Regards
Karol

Hi Javier,

this must be related to driver problems of the video sources.
Only such native components can crash Ventuz so that you do not get any message log.
I have no idea why this happens because such video devices are included in Ventuz by DirectShow.
This normally works without problems. Don't know what's special about your laptop.

Cheers
Karol
