Binding to Animation's StateCurrentID property

Post by Etienne » 18 Jan 2015, 03:23

Hello,

Is it possible to directly bind to a Keyframe Animation's StateCurrentID output property? When I Ctrl-drag and drop an Integer variable's Value property to the Animation node, it automatically binds without showing me any options of which property to bind to.

If I put the Animation in a container and expose the StateCurrentID property, I can then properly bind to it. Why does this behave differently?

Thanks for any explanation.

Hi Etienne,

Welcome to the forum. I removed you from the "New Registered Users" so you can post without approval.
The Keyframe Animation node is a special node and creates a animation channel on most drag&drop operations because that is the most common way you want work with it. Right click drag%drop should give options to bind to but it is not so I wrote a ticket for that.
To bind the Integer to the CurrentID, left-mouse drag the property over the keyframe animation hold the left mouse and navigate to the output property you want to bind to, release the left mouse on the property to create the binding.

Regards
Daniel
