The Interactive Help files are quite lacking in any content regarding the Image Texture Node when it comes to combining multiple images.
I have been trying to create a single mask from 3 alpha channeled textures without success. Is there any further information or an example of this? I know I could do it by using a render target of three rectangles, each with a different mask on it, but I was trying to create it on a single rectangle with textures being passed 'down the line'.

Peter

Re: Compositing of Textures & Images
When I get you right you want to combine multiple textures to a mask, right?
Simply use the TextureShading editor and set the alpha function to Add Smooth.
