Locate .vpr files inside Group project management

Post by Razmi » 10 Jul 2014, 05:48

Hi,

I can't seem to locate or upload my .vpr files in the Group live project management (configuration editor).
The other problem is when i upload my vpr files, it shows an error.

My setup consist of one CPU with licence and another laptop which is a PLE version.
Im trying to use the configuration editor to run the presentation in sync to both laptop and my PC.
Any solutions?

Hi there

Make sure all machines in the network are in the same subnet and the firewall is disabled.
Machines in different subnets appear in the config editor because the VMS discovery uses the broadcast address.

I manage to get all the PCs to link.
My main problem is how to get our .vpr files to be shown in the Group "Live Project Management".
It stated in the manual that "only unique projects are displayed in that list."
Is there any way we could set our project files as unique....?

Hi,

I think that to be unique, a VPR file needs to have the exact same name on every runtime
A mistake I made earlier was to set up wrong the "scanned project" directory (in the taskbar, right click on Ventuz Machine Service, Configure)
and it take several (a lot !) minutes for a new project to be detected.

Hope it helps !
Florian
