While all of those are valid points, may I ask you what exactly you're trying to do? Eg. if possible, use sACN over Artnet. The former is the more mature protocol, and first of all it allows for synchronizing universes with each other so that in a let's say big LED installation all the LEDs get thei...

I'm reluctant to just add an output array to that node because it's for DMX output, and having people go "yeah, you need that DMX node to access colors from a texture" isn't really sounding like good software design, is it :) So we also have the new color picke...

Hey, Send/receive is done via the same port, and it needs to be that way because Art-Net (starting from version 3) as well as sACN in multicast mode need some handshaking to support anything beyond basic DMX transmission. So separating send and receive wouldn't really help. Apart from that - even if...

This is one of the peculiarities of the HuffYuv codec - when there's no alpha channel it encodes the image as YUV with 4:2:2 sampling, but as soon as you add alpha it can only encode RGBA 4:4:4 which compresses way worse.

So this behaviour is unfortunate but expected.
