I have built a super fast machine and undergoing testing with Ventuz 5.

I am using a Samsung 500Gb NVME SSD for video storage and getting some great playback of video content at 60fps 9,600 x 1200 pixels across 5 outputs.

I didnt have time to build some test content in After Effects, render out at 9600 x 1200 and input into Ventuz, so I built an animation in Ventuz and rendered out using the HuffyUV codec with the video export. Al fine, but ....

As soon as I try and reference that movie in Ventuz I am getting a "COM Surrogate has stopped Working" Although the video will play in Ventuz. The warning Com Surrogate ... message is constantly being displayed.

Even after quitting Ventuz I still get the error coming up. If I delete the HuffyUV file it stops

I have Googled this and can't really pin this down to any one area I could look at. I'm running Windows 10 home 64 bit.

Any help on this error would be appreciated.

I found that this Com Surrogate is to do with not being able to build the preview image from the HuffyUV footage.

Found some software called Icaros which sorts this error out.
