Ventuz w/ Encore

hi,

I need to decide which how many portion of work Ventuz takes on my project in collaboration with Encore.
The setup is like this below.

3.9mm LED (20m * 4M / 5120*1024 resolution)
Ventuz machine 1ea : i7 4790, 32G RAM, SSD_no raid, blackmagic intensity pro(can be deltacast later)
Sony HD Camera(can be SDI later)
Analogway Switcher
Encore

Q1]
In case using ventuz with Encore, which on is better to receive the Live video feed?
Encode can receive live feed and blend it with ventuz. And, ventuz can also receive live feed using capture card.

I’m trying to figure out which one is better.

Q2]
With using encore, I tried to blend input signal from Ventuz and anther video input from my laptop.
But, it seemed that “Keying” is not stable. The border line is blurred.

In this situation, which one is better solution?

#1 Video on laptop ----> Ventuz(w/ capture card) ----> Encode

#2 Video on laptop ----> Encore <--- Ventuz
(note : the direction of arrows above is different.)

thanks for reading
Poly

hi poly,

if you dont need any special 3d effect: i would prefer the encore for live input!

absolut rock solid stable inputs and less delay! if you want to key: you can use key and fill (dont use the normal key effect!! this is indeed not good) in the encore what shoudn't make any blury results!

and: you have a real preview!

are you using encore or e2?

hi, Chris
thanks for your reply. :)

I'm supposed to use Encore.

In case I need to use ventuz for live feed, the solution is only Deltacast? What about declink?

regards
Poly

hi poly,

i dont know, if decklink is official suported! i would strongly recommend to use deltacast! especialy in a event where you think about using encore. if you buy a ferrari you dont buy tires for a golf ;)
