Hi,

I am a newbie, am trying to import an Hindi font "Mangal" into my project. On licensed version of Ventuz it gives some error about Glyph info not found when i select the preset associated with this font and on PLE version there is no error but in both cases am not able to see anything in text node when i use this font (and yes have restarted Ventuz designer and reloaded the scene several times now). Any clues to what i am doing wrong will be highly appreciated .

Thanks :)

Hi there

To enable the needed character sets please open the Ventuz ConfigurationEditor and create a MachineConfiguration with the Special1 character sets enabled.
See the attached screeny.

Regards
Daniel

It worked, but is rendering text in wrong way, some characters, the consonants are being rendered incorrectly . Have attached a screen shot.

Thanks...

Hi Rajesh!
Have you tried other Hindi fonts? Is there the same problem?

On another note, no need to open a second forum topic with the same problem. That just makes it more complicated for everyone to follow and help you. Please keep the discussion here. Thanks.

Yes, same happens with other fonts too besides Mangal, have used Arial Unicode MS, Adobe devnagri.

Sorry about the new thread, was afraid people might not read past "it worked" hence opened a new thread for incorrect rendering.

My project goes live in few days, any ideas, fixes, help, will be obliged.

Thanks,
Rajesh

forgot to add, all these display fine in the text editor, only renders/displays wrong in render window.

I think I encountered such a problem a few times before with a few Arabic fonts. If your project is in a few days then you need to think about a quick and reliable workaround. If the fonts don't work then use textures instead. Create textures of your text in Photoshop and use those. I know it is very inconvenient and only works for static text but at least it works.

There are no static texts in our show as it is a quiz show, the questions etc texts have to be dynamically created.
