I am playing around with the videoplayer sample project and I'm having trouble adding mp4 sources. I've added the files to the local movies folder where the default movieclip.wmv resides and Ive added their filenames to the respective URL nodes but I get nothing. No thumbnail previews or video playback. If I add movieclip.wmv to another URL node then it does show up so it seems the issue is only with mp4 files.

I also noticed the preview image in the help file did load at least one of the preview thumbnails properly which is interesting.

Please advise.

mp4 shouldn't be a problem. Try to open a new scene that just shows a movie and check if your files are working. Also have a look at the message log and see if you got any errors. Do your files playback in another program?
