Multiple Screens

Post by tyle_cells » 08 Jul 2014, 05:16

Hi,

I have a system which outputs to 4 screen.
When I tried to use Ventuz Presenter to run my presentation, it only displays on one screen.
My file is set up with 4 viewport/background node each size 1920x1080 (similar to the multiple viewport tutorial example). What I want to achieve is each of my screen/monitor will display one of the viewport/background node.

I've also tried using Ventuz Configuration Editor and edited the layout configuration splitting it to 4 screens.

Can anyone help to explain how I can achieve what I want.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Tyle_cells

You need to set up the monitor configuration in your graphics card driver first. With four outputs you could be using a nVidida Quadro card. Then you have to use nVidia Mosaic in their driver control panel to set up your monitor configuration. If you use AMD cards you have to do the same with their eyefinity panel. Then Ventuz will use that configuration to display its content across several monitors.

Hi,

Thanks a lot.
It worked but any idea why
1. The two screen at the bottom seem to have a bit of the top being cut off.
2. The bottoms of the top two screen and the top of the two bottom screens have this grey shaded patched over them.

Cheers,

Without any further information I cannot help you. You would have to post graphics card name, Ventuz version and screenshots from what you describe. Is the screenshot in Ventuz, the Configuration manager or somewhere else? What output devices are you using? What monitors and what sizes/resolutions are they?
