Oculus Rift DK2

Hi,
I've just pre-ordered the new Oculus Rift dk.
This device opens a new world and could give to all the 3d authoring software more visibility.
Today we have Cryengine, Unity, Unreal 4 and Deltagen to develop 3d virtual worlds. Probably most of them will implement natively the Oculus rift.
I hope that Ventuz will invest to develop a node that will use all the new Oculus features.
best regards

Given the whole facebook thing, I'm underwhelmed with them right now. I also am still a bit less than impressed with DK2, tried it out last week. A lot better than DK1, buuut still a ways to go.
Anyhow, we'll see when they actually release a final product. Right now, it is quite easy to implement yourself, and we won't be doing anything until they actually have something finished.

the DK2 resolution si too low.
I have the Sony MHZ-T2 and it's a lot better, not immersive fov but visually the pixel density is compressed in a small area.
1920x1080 shared by two lenses is not a good idea because pixels aren't orthogonal to the lenses.
Oculus Rift needs a curved oled display to match the fov and a filter to blur the pixels edges.
