scale and rotation stacking

Hi All,

I'm using touch rotation and touch transformation (for pinch scaling) stacked. When I pinch zoom my model everything is fine, when I rotate my model everything is fine.......
but when I zoom the model, and on the next touch interaction try to rotate it, the model does not respond to the rotation, then if I swipe to rotate a second time the rotation is fine.

This only happens when scaling and then rotating, if i rotate then scale the interaction is correct on the following touch, everytime.

Is this a limitation of stacking touch nodes and something i have to accept or am i missing something simple or a work around possibly??

any help is appreciated ;)

i've attached a demo scene. I'm using a touch proxy, but it doesnt seem to make a difference with or without the proxy, so ive left it in as this is the set up im working with ;)

Hey there seems to be a little bug. Götz has added a bug report to out internal ticket system.
But you can use a TouchOrbit Node as a workaround for scaling and rotation.

hi,

thanks for looking into this ;)

Ive started testing with the orbit node as a work around for the scaling side of things......now maybe it is me this time becasuse when I am using the limit option for scaling, it does not scale at all if i set the minimum at any value above zero... :?
If i set the minimum value to a negative value then it works fine.....

thoughts?

cheers

Good point with minimum scale ;)

im still getting mixed results with the scaling side of things. updated to latest version of V4 as i was running 4.02, still having problems.

Will do some more testing as I only have my tablet to test on at the moment, maybe its that.... :?

thanks

Finally getting round to some testing on this....

Im still having issues, can someone have a look at the attached file and see if they are having any issues with it??

when limits are active, the scaling aspect is not working very well at all. I'd say 95% of the time i get no scaling at all! and the other 5% is very glitchy.

Is this my touch screen or .......?

thanks

Yea I can confirm scale is working as long as you rotate first and keep fingers on the screen.

I could really do with a work around or fix for this please :)

Hi Alex,

Thanks for sorting this ;)
Tuesday would be ideal for me as ive got demos on Wednesday using this functionality.

I await the news :)

Thanks again
