Masking Output

Excited to see the new output shaping tools opens lots or doors for me.

One of my questions is how might one mask a region of an output?
At this time I don't see such a tool to do so and would love to be able to place/shape a mask layer over the top in similar ways to warping the image.

Hi,

you can always render a mask on top of your scene with an overlay or rectangle node. This should be ok for a more or less planar projection. if you are doing some crazy 3d projection mapping you will notice that the mask gets warped along with the rendering, and that might be a problem. I'd like to know what your are trying to do so we can direct further development.

You also can use the edge blending tool to mask out individual areas! I think we might need to make a quick video snippet on that...
