Hi all,
is this a bug or I'm missing something?

I don't find the bump node in the toolbox of Ventuz 3 Pro. Where is it?

Then i did the same tutorial on Ventuz 2008 Express on a 6 years old laptop with Windows XP. I see the bump node and I can drag it.

You deleted it from Ventuz 3 ?

ok...solved!
I remembered that dragging the texture node Ventuz asked for image/bump option.
I think that the hierarchy nodes must be separated by the content nodes.
Because they are collapsed it's no easy to understand what has to be dragged in the hierarchy window or in the content one.

It's partially solved!

Ventuz 2008 works perfectly! I drag the texture node and Ventuz asks for the bump node and automatically creates an image loader+bump texture.

I noticed also that in Ventuz 2008 if I drag a node in an empty area of the hierarchy window Ventuz creates a list of unlinked nodes, very usefull. Why you change it?


p.s. please change this forum engine because every time I have to add a new post instead of correct the previous.

afaik they have changed the bump map in v3. in v3 it is a shader! please insert the bumb shader into your scene and open the help file

Hi,

Dont drag the texture node onto Hierarchy window, this will only give you options for available Hierarchy nodes. Right click on the texture node in the toolbox and this will give you all the available nodes...including the image to bump node....then simply drag the node into the property window and connect to the relevant texture

In Ventuz 3 many things are changed. In Ventuz 2008 worked differently. Now insert a texture+bump node needs more clicks.
