Ticker node <PAUSE MODE="C"> does not work

I tried to modify "Interactive scene for ticker" by inserting <PAUSE duration='5.0' mode="C"/> tag between the third and fourth 'Value' in the "Format" property of the "Format Text" node (first tab of the scene, 'Ticker'). While pausing somehow works, inserting mode="c" attribute results in the lack of any pausing of the ticker.
