A setting to adjust the black level of the non-overlap zone would be very usefull.

As a workaround... you could use a render Target with a white plane... adjust transparency and make a cut in the overlapping area. not a 100% solution... but maybe better then nothing
the good thing: you could blur the edges a little bit.
