Sadly Beta2 release doesn't launch after installation on my system I can't seem to launch the executables in the Ventuz6 folder in Program Files or force any command line options on Ventuz.exe to get any result. Uninstalling Beta2 using 'add/remove" and then Reinstalling Beta1 reverts me to a working Beta1 without any issue. Is there any data I can share about my config that would be helpful?

A note about my installation process that may help identify the issue is that when installing Beta2 it prompted me once again with the migration assistant dialogue and I selected the options as before... maybe this was an error on my part?

I have the same problem with Beta2.
Install Beta1. Works fine.

Hi!

After an unsuccessful start of Beta2 please go to Computer Management and check the log entries in 'Event Viewer->Windows Logs->Application'.
Is there any entry for Ventuz and what does it say?
Which OS are you using?

Hi Karol,

after deinstall Beta2, install Beta1. Set the Licence Key. Deinstall Beta1 and again install Beta2, Beta2 works.

Just installed Beta2 (publicbeta_60) I had not installed Beta1 (publicbeta_12) had Ventuz 5 installed.

Can't start Ventuz X Designer or License manager, I can open Config Editor but it can't reach VMS saying object reference not set to and instance of an object.

Tried removing V5 and VX and remove some app data folders, reboot and install Beta 2 and get the same issue.

Going to try Maecki's steps and see if install Beta1 setting the license then remove beta1 and install Beta2 works.

Working now, here was my process.

Uninstalled Beta 2
Installed Beta 1
Applied licence
Opened Designer
Uninstalled Beta 1
Installed Beta 2
----Now this is the step that I think was the issue in the first Beta 2 install for me.
Migrate Data window with Migrate licenses selected

Now all good to go.

Hey guys,

thanks for all the information provided to track this bug.
Actually we had that fixed already but because of interferences in timespace it did not appear in the release.

I have updated the download link in the initial post of this topic. You can just download that new version and install it. If you had the previous Beta2 release installed you might need to de-install it first using the Programs and Features Dialog of Windows.
If it is still not working on your side please let us know!

Always happy to help. I have been pretty busy and haven't had much time to play. But so far really like the new features and the direction things are going.

I did have a bug that I was not able to enter text when using the spacebar toolbox shortcut in alphabetic mode. I did have my windows scaling set to 150 and meant to see if it was something related to that.
