SetPositionByTextureColor

Post by chriss0212 » 16 Oct 2017, 15:46

Hi,

at the moment i am stumbling by this simple thing:

How can i set the position by the color value of a texture. The is no Position in the target parameter of the texture

I saw that its possible during the "Particle Day"... but i forgot how it was done ;)

Attached a Scene how i can adjust the size... and i want to do the same with the position

Greetings

Christian

MMhhh...

is it possible, that we have seen only the size animation? I realy can't figure out, how i could set x,y,z position of a pixel by the color value. It really seems, that position is not an available target parameter ;(

Any idea?

Thx and greetings

Christian

Hey Chris,

sadly its not possible "RIGHT NOW" :D

its a needed feature for Data Vis as well and hopefully we will find a way to bring that into VX soon.

Thanks a lot

Hi Dennis

Thank's for feedback!!. It would be very nice, if the solution would be another target ( PosX, PosY, PosZ) parameter, like size.

Of course i am not inside the engine... but if SetPositionByNoise is possible... the step to SetPosByTexture is hopefully not so far ;)

Greetings

Christian
