Lighten is killed in Layer Group

I have a Layer inside of a layer Group with Lighten as blending mode. It seems, that the mode is killed as soon as i put this layer into a layer group.

Even if i switch of all effects and blending modes in the group, effect is killed ;(

Hey Christian,

did you try to set the Blending Mode of the Layer Group to Pass Through?

When set to any other Blending Mode the Layer Group will override the Mode of its children with the new one - resulting in the Blending Modes only effecting Layers inside the same Group.
When set to Pass Through the Blending will also be applied to Layers outside the Group.

Does this solve the Problem?

ahhhhhh.....

i have disabled (unchecked) the blending and thought, that this will make the pass trough!!!

Glad that helps.

But you are completely right, Pass Through should be the Default Mode for Layer Groups. Then, when you disable the Blending it will also use the Pass Through option (since unchecking that will result in using default values). This should be a lot more intuitive.
This is now ticketed in Change 7947.
