Hi,
there is at least one command missing in the VMS Telnet tool on port 19405. INST should give you the Ventuz version.
On the TCP Server for Ventuz 4 on port 19401 it works just fine.
Background:
I made a small tool for maintaining our rental-workstations, which gives you a quick health overview (for example: Is Ventuz up to date?) and manages a few things like the Two Machines - Same ID issue.
It works well for Ventuz 4 but I can't find an easy way to get the Ventuz 5 version number independently from any Ventuz config.
Thanks a lot in advance, Eric

Re: Implement all VMS Commands from Ventuz 4 in Ventuz 5
OK I found a way using the welcome message, haven't seen it before...however it still would be nice if all commands known from Ventuz 4 work in Ventuz 5
