Issues Playing MXF codec

Ventuz Loads the MXF file then says unknown format. Any ideas on where to install this codec from...I have one machine that reads just fine and 2 machines that do not... able to play the files in VLC and have tried to install the codec through klite and some other sources however, continuing to get a unknown format error. Any help would be appreciated.
