Designer Freezing Frequently and Super slow to Save

I have been having issues with Designer Freezing Frequently and taking an unussually long time to save on a project.
Cpu Stats 65%- 120% CPU
Gpu Stats - 30% - 50%
Is there a particular log file or best Practice to see what would be causing these Freeze ups as the project file and Graphics themselves doesn't seem that it would be overly taxing. Are there known external Programs that could be conflicting and known to freeze up the interface?
