NV Link 2

Post by Eric_RD » 28 Mar 2018, 17:10

Nvidia just announced a new reference Workstation Graphics Card called Quadro GV100.
https://www.ustream.tv/gpu-technology-conference (form minute 20:30)
And with this they also announced NVLink 2. With NV Link 2 you should be able to link two GV100 so the OS sees them as one Card (with double Computing Speed and double GPU RAM). Which is quite different to SLI or Quadro Link.
I am not a big fan of this Sillicon-Valley-Apple-Like presentations ("...we painted it gold..."), but this sounds quite nice in terms of Ventuz.
Or am I missing something here?
Another question is if you can use all 8 DP Outputs or only 4.
Does anybody, maybe directly from Ventuz, have any further informations about this?

Thanks in advance ;)
Eric
