Rift DK2 is working fine with professional cards W8100 and 9100 (Ventuz help recommend Gamer cards).

Hey stephan,

thanks for reading the manual regarding the VR stuff ;)

we recommended the Gamer Cards simply because of the native HDMI port.
When using a pro card without dedicated HDMI you might get into trouble when choosing the wrong adapter or cable.

we will update the help with an advise which adapters will work.

this is just as a precaution :)

thank you

I'm using an active displayport>dvi adapter, following a dvi>hdmi adapter

With the DK2 there shouldnt be a big issue.. but with the CV Rift and the CV VIVE :)
From what i heard and experienced here inhouse you would need a DP to HDMI which supports the latest standards like DP2.1 to HDMI 2.0.
The same goes for high-quality DP to mini DP cables for the Vive.

But all these infos will be updated in the manual as soon as we can have reliable informations about that.

Hi all,

We know that some active DP to HDMI converters work with Vive and Oculus customer versions and AMD FirePro boards. As Dennis mentioned, it seems to be related to the standards supported by the converters.

In any case, if you have tested some active converters that work fine, could you please be so kind as to send the information about brands and models over here?

As you might imagine, we could only test a limited number of converters, so your feedback will be of great help.

Thanks a lot,
David P.

Loving the Vive with Ventuz so far and having a GTX1080 makes things run smooth!

As for DP adaptors I have tested this one with the Vive from a Firepro w8000 and w9100 and it worked fine.
