Binding: highlight matching names

Post by lerou » 03 Dec 2015, 11:33

Hi,

here's another idea to make the UI more awesome:

Imagine you have two containers with exposed vales. "Dst" has a float input called "Height". "Src" has several float outputs. Now you drag-to-bind your "Height" from "Dst" to "Src" and see a context menu with all matching values. So far nothing new.

Now what would be great: highlight all (partial) matches of the parameter name you are about to bind (here: "Height") within the list of available outputs.

See attached image.

This would make it faster to find the values you want to bind and again also forces people to build cleaner scenes :)

Best,
rou
