For some reason I get no video out if I enable a couple of extra buffers (4) in the configuration editor.
This is true if I have software watchdog enabled or not.
As this is a new machine, I haven't used the same settings in any earlier version, but the settings seems the same as I have in earlier versions.

Can you reproduce on your end, or is there something with my HW or drivers that is corrupt?
All the best,

Re: Deltacast, adding Extra buffers = no video out?
A new machine? Check if you set the "memory preallocation"! That's a couple of registry keys that make the Deltacast board allocate large amounts of continuous memory during the boot sequence. With the default amount of buffers this makes no big difference, but with lot's of extra buffers the board may fail to allocate enough continuous physical memory after the boot has completed.
* go to Ventuz Help
* navigate "Introduction to the Video Engine"
* Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click see also : "Supported Hardware"
* Search the phrase "prealloc"
There is a better explanation explanation.
For short, set the following registry keys:
----
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\DELTA-hd]
"PreallocPool0Size"=dword:03000000
"PreallocPool1Size"=dword:03000000
----
This requires a reboot to work. To check if the settings were applied correctly, press the little 'i' button over the Deltacast icon in the av config.

Re: Deltacast, adding Extra buffers = no video out?
Hi Dierk!
I've already done the Preallocation trick for Pool0 - Pool3, this doesn't help I'm affraid.
CAN it be something with the latest DeltaCast drivers that cause this?
I have been cranking up the buffers to 10 in previous versions to be on the safe side, but never with these DeltaCast drivers....

And for the sake of debugging..... -Wien adding 4 buffers to my Internal SW Keying config, I get the message "Error deltacast vidopipe\deltacast.cpp(2574) error 24 (0x18)" on multiple lines in my messagewindow.

I doubled the memory allocation per pool to 96 MB (06000000) and after reboot I can use 4 buffers in the config!
All the best,
