updated to 4.0.4 from 4.0.3

Seeing issues of instability on 4.0.4 with presentations that ran perfectly on 4.0.3. Both when attempting to program and when running presentations.

I have been trying to pinpoint exactly where it is failing, but the biggest challenge thus far is sometimes it is working and sometimes it is not. I have not found a correlation between successful launches vs unsuccessful ones.

Logs are not showing any failures on a crash.

IT seems sometimes when i change my configuration parameters a presentation will launch the first time but subsequent launches result in a crash. Sometimes relaunching will suddenly successfully launch. It seems like if a presentation successfully launches that it runs fine.

tried:

removed all input streams from VCE (ventuz config editor)
removed all configuration files from VCE (set everything to "none")

reexport presentation file from 4.0.4

now chasing if incompatibilities exist in the source file itself

Are you talking about Ventuz Runtime crashes or Director crashes?
For me it sounds like a Runtime crash but this is the Director forum.
Was there any crash report which you could send?

ahh correct I completely posted this in the wrong section. My apologies. This is the presenter run time crashing.

Can you tell me what exact hardware is installed on that computer (deltacast / blackmagic) ?

This issue was caused by loading DDS textures via Image Loader and using the Image to Texture node which actually caused the crash.
