Font looks different in Ventuz compare to photoshop

I have converted an OTF font to TTF online. The font works in terms of loading/previewing but the font looks different in Ventuz compare to other software such as Photoshop, After Effects, Word. especial the apostrophe.

I have tried changing the machine configuration but the font still looks wrong.

Thanks,
J

Hi Jodaine,

can you please post some screenshots?
And please check the Log Windows for error messages etc.

Best Regards
Karol

happens to me all the time when converting OTF to TTF. Try a different converter, sometimes that helps.

I am not getting any errors related to the font at all. The Images are attached.

Thanks, I have tried so many different converters still no luck.
Thanks,

I'm not a Font designer but for my eye the second one looks like a completely different font.
Could you try this font in Ventuz 5 (just request a PLE if you do not have a license).
For V5 we rewrote the complete font loading and layouting mechanism.

Cheers
Karol

I currently don't have ventuz 5, but I have tried the fonts in Ventuz 6 and I am still getting the same outcome. Just to be sure I have copied the font directly from the ventuz 6 font folder and tried it in photoshop on another pc and it works.

Oh, apologies in Ventuz 6 I have found this error message "17:38 29/06/2018 Error : Font: Font Table parsing failed for Chelsea Basis: Wrong stream reader position for Lookup List.
"

Just throwing my five cents in here as well. Why did you convert the original OTF font to a TTF? I am having issues sometimes with online converters as well - just as lerou. Do the OTF files not work in Ventuz?

My experience with Ventuz and OTF is not good. I often get render errors. Also some fonts did not work on other OS versions. I think it was something like "works on Win10" and then the VPR on Win7 had no fonts at all. I always tell my clients to deliver TTF or I won't be responsible for the results :)
