Apply a material to enriched text

Post by hamish » 17 Jan 2017, 09:47

I am using an Enriched Text Node because I need to have fine control over some text layout. I do not need it to control color within the string. Unfortunately, when using the Enriched text node rather than the Block Text Node, it behaves like I have inserted a color node, wiping out my material and making the 3D text look very dull.

Is there a way to combine the benefits of the enriched text layout with that of a material? Without it, the enriched text node is not very useful for 3D text.
