Post by VincentPix » 20 Jun 2016, 15:45

Hello

I opened once my repository in Ventuz 5 PLE and now I can't open it anymore in Ventuz 4.

Is there a way ??? It's a big issue for me.

Hi!

Did you save anything to the V4 Repository in V5?
Because just opening it in V5 does not modify it.

Best Regards

This "silence" means my repository is lost for V4 ? or are you inventing a crazy solution to save me ?

I took a quick look and it does not seem be be easy to downgrade the V5 Repository to V4 format.
But currently I'm pretty short in time.
Keep it as it is. I will give it a second look next week...

Good News!

I found a way to downgrade the Repository with V5 items to V4 format.
Please send me your .VZR file to supportatventuzdotcom.
I will convert it and send it back to you.

Best Regards
Karol

From V5.1 on, Ventuz handles this more carefully:
FEATURE 7668 Ventuz 4 Repositories (.VZR files) are now backup'ed before modification.
