Need a streaming / recording solution controlled by Ventuz

Inside a bigger Ventuz project I want to create a ' streaming / recording' functionality.
The idea is to put a HD-SDI input board inside the system. With Ventuz I'll create a viewer so that the user can preview the input source.
I want to stream the input source also to a website and when possible record the video input locally.
The user can start / stop this.
I know Ventuz does not support streaming or recording, so I'm wondering if it is possible to do this with a C# code which communicate with for example a third party streaming software tool such as Flash media Encoder.
Does anybody has any experience with this? Any tips to put me in the right direction?
