Post by Robert » 07 May 2013, 22:33

Hi,

I have installed Ventuz on a Win8 tablet and when i try to start ventuz there is a dx.input error then Ventuz stop. When I plug a mouse Ventuz start sucessfully.

Not had this before, and I have run on a number of tablets successfully. Sounds like the windows implementation of their touch drivers is odd and is causing the crash - so that when you have a mouse plugged in, it uses that instead. But I am not sure. What tablet?

Hi,

I was thinking this problem was fixed with Ventuz 4. We encountered the problem with ventuz 3
The dirty workaround we found is to start Ventuz with the tablet on its dock and once the start is completed we disonnect the tablet from its dock.

It is a bug in V3 that is fixed for V4. Win7 always reported a mouse device even if there's none connected, that has changed in Win8 and causes the crash.
