hi

have you allready checked side by side full? this is is spec of hdmi 1.4 and if you have a screen which supports hdmi 1.4 i dont see any reason why side by side full shouldnt work! of course your signal is 3840*1080 but the screen will split the signal and shows left and right alternating in full hd

I can try it but the TV should sync the signal at 24Hz, domestic tv doesn't support 60Hz in 3d mode, then should I configure a custom output via the Nvidia driver? setting a 3840x1080 resolution at 24Hz? I doubt it will work, that's why Nvidia invented the 3d TV play driver.

I created a custom resolution of 3840x1080 at 24hz

it doesn't work...neither at 60Hz or 30Hz...black screen

3D on TVs is based on frame packing

You should check out the 3D Play software addon from nVidia. With this I got Ventuz to work on stereoscopic projectors. It works for standard TVs as well.

Thanks Christian
Nobody understand here what I need...:)

Within Ventuz I need to show stereoscopic videos (or photos) in full HD.
Ventuz uses 3d Vision passively, the Nvidia driver transforms directx geometry from monoscopic to stereoscopic automatically.
This is valid only for geometries.
Side by side videos (or photos) can't be separated.

It's easy to do a test:
put a side by side video 3840x1080 and stream it to a 3d TV through Ventuz. You can't
You can only with projectors because they accept a dual input.

maybe you dont explain what you need ;)

if you build a scene with 2 camera heads...of course you can play a video side by side! i allready did it on a 3d tv but just with half of the resolution! and so i think...and thats the part where i have no experience....it could be possible in full res!

you can do it halving the resolution
If you will demonstrate that Ventuz can show videos in full hd on HD 3D TV i will send you a set of 6 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino wine...:)
