Bevel Intersect Mesh Text

Post by SamTheSwede » 28 Jun 2012, 08:25

Woluldn't it be cool if the renderer could detect intersecting parts of a bevel and remove them from the object?

This way we could use any font with an inner bevel, wich isn't possible today if it has narrow parts.

See attached archive to see what I mean.

Best regards,

Hi Sam,

we know about this issue,
But this is really complicated to avoid. I once tried to handle such situation but the results caused problems elsewhere.
Tessellation is a real science! :)

Best Regards
Karol
