Re: rtsp-stream as texture?

Ah, I see... :-( I vaguely remember having read that post ages ago... thought something might have changed/improved with Ventuz3 and ffmpeg.
Thanks anyway, at least I didn't do anything wrong. ;-)

rtsp-stream as texture?

I tried to use a rtsp-stream as a texture in Ventuz, can't get it to work, though. The streams' URL is: rtsp://[user]:[password]@192.168.0.227/VideoInput/1/h264/1 I've tried numerous things/nodes in Ventuz, the closest I got was using an URL-node with the "Scheme" set to "Ventuz"...

Excel Error Message "Collection already contains style..."

Hi all, i've just run into a problem with an excel file, the error message I get is this: Error: ExcelWorkbook: Failed to async read Excel Workbook.: Collection already contains style with same names Followed Hyperlink. The excel has worked before (it's an .xlsx saved under office:mac 2011 / version...

Re: Expression Help

Does it have to be an expression? I'd just use the "String Length" node, you feed the string into it and it gives you a number of informative outputs, among them a boolean as to whether the string is empty.

Re: Touch Screen Technology & Ventuz

I had this post queued up for some time (actually wanted to flesh it out a bit more), but this seems as good a time as any to post... maybe we could make this thread a general collection for experiences (the good and the bad) with touch screens / touch frames? We've been building a fair number of i...

Re: Background hiddes all content

I'm just using a standard workstation right now, to learn and evaluate how fast we can do things. We well of course use "real" computers when showtime aproaches My advice is: by all means try to work/develop on the final hardware as soon as possible ( especially the graphics adapter, if y...

@ Peter: yes, I got that one, too. The list currently isn't very helpful anyway as it's basically 27 pages of spam-links. :(

Re: bug or featureible....but not touchable!

actually if the cube itself has a depth (Z) of zero it's still touchable (works like a rectangle), but if you put an axis-node in front of the cube and set the ScaleZ to zero then the cube is no longer recognized by the touch system. Some sort of optimization, like the (optional) Alpha_Block-propert...

Re: Mapping content to cube faces

Hi Chriss, very nice, thanks. I try to avoid keyframe-anims wherever possible, math-nodes mostly do a far better (and leaner) job(*). Added benefit: no unclear states. If I may add a suggestion: use an Oscillator instead of a Damper (see attachment). The "wobbling" IMO gives you a much mor...

Re: Resetting Interactive node.

Couldn't you just also deactivate the Behaviour and insert a Damper or Oscillator between the orbit node and the axis? After multiple rotations the rotation back to zero will be quite a wild ride, but at least it's not a hard cut.
