Tell me about it.. the display scaling crap ruined two of my demos at IBC
Anyhow, we know about the issue and are trying to fix it for V5, but it is remarkably insidious, so no guarantees unfortunately.
Cheers,
Erik

See my post in the other thread.... LD;DR: install Nvidia Geforce Experience, set up Nvidia as the Default GPU for Ventuz.

Re: Multi display out with out Display Group?
Sherman, little trick with the surface book: you can install the nvidia GeForce Experience software, which will allow you to select the default GPU for applications. Just set up Ventuz to start with the Nividia GPU by default in their control options (right click on desktop > Nvidia Control Panel > ...

Re: looking for gamer laptop with touchscreen ...
The Razer runs decent sized scenes quite well. I have yet to do a scene on my Desktop that didn't run on the laptop, though I do see performance differences, of course. You are somewhat limited by the 3GB of GPU memory and, far more importantly, the laptop bus/SSD speeds. However, I have scenes with...

Re: Shield Android TV
Well... #1 is unlikely for the near future - we are DirectX and .NET, both of which are not Android-friendly.
#2 is, however, perfectly doable. We have done it with splashtop in the past, and that works well.

Re: Cinema 4D and Ventuz
Right now, you have to manually dump the plugin into the C4D plugins folder. I would guess that will still be the case on release, but if it is we'll be sure to include a clear guide.
Re: TUIO
Hey, the problem with single tap is that it works with a time window (i.e. any touch longer than X miliseconds, but shorter than Y will be considered a tap) - which is impossible to get right with the radar touch. So, instead most people use the touch enter and touch leave events instead. that shoul...

Re: Cinema 4D Dynamic Link
lots of questions... so V5 is still only approaching Alpha, no information is rock solid and subject to change. a) the C4D integration is for geometry and UVs only at this stage. You can bring animation across, but you have to bake it (essentially a mesh sequence, but all done automatically with one...

Re: Cinema 4D and Ventuz
Well, as an ex-Softimage employee.. 3D software is a bit of a religious issue for me. However, Cinema4D is great at what it does. If you are going in to do a massive VFX pipeline with crowds and huge complex scenes... maybe Cinema4D is not the best. But for the Ventuz world, it is perfect. Most of a...
