As i said by PM:
there is nothing special. You can bind the last message output to any node and do what you want... if you send a float... use it as a normal float to control for eg, the position of an axis.

Isn't it working, if you connect the com port parameter to an int and load the int on startup from a config file?

But i think, that even with a script it is maybe complex, because 2018 should be replace letter by letter but 10 should be replaced in total...

What do you mean? Compared to TouchDesigner or VVVV building GUI's in Ventuz is much easier. Never saw a engine, where it is that easy to build a GUI as it is in Ventuz.The GUI builder is a bit quirky
