It looks like my adventures in VR with Ventuz have come to an abrupt stop for now.
Glad to hear I'm not the only person with an issue, but not great that this might have broken someone's working production code....
Craig.

Re: HTC Vive controllers
I’ve added the node for one of them and given it the ID of 0. This one has been identified by steam VR correctly. I’m not clear what else you mean by “add it to the scene”?
The demo scene doesn’t work for me either.
Cheers
Craig.

HTC Vive controllers
Good morning fellow Ventuzians. I'm experimenting with the HTC Vive VR headset today, and so far it's impressive how easy it's been to get a scene up and running using the features of 5.3 - amazing work by the Ventuz dev team! However, I'm having an issue with the VR controllers. I just cannot get t...

Re: Excel as a data source - editing in Open Office Calc
Hey Karol, thanks for the quick reply! That's good to know - I couldn't understand why editing files in Open Office caused different behaviour, but that makes sense. At least now I know where my investigation leads me next. If I find something in the Open Office/Libre Office Calc configuration that ...

Excel as a data source - editing in Open Office Calc
Hi Ventuz community. We use Excel as a data source to the Excel workbook node for a lot of settings in our projects - pretty typical usage. I've noticed a behaviour that I don't understand. When I open an Excel workbook using Microsoft Excel and edit a cell that is bound into a Ventuz node and save ...

Re: Render To Disk Fullscreen + Runtime
Hi, I see that there's been some changes to the Render To Disk functionality in 5.03.00. Have there been any changes to support Remoting V4 for Render To Disk? Unfortunately we couldn't make a ventuz-only solution for our project, so just for reference for any one else who might have the same requir...

Re: Render To Disk Fullscreen + Runtime
Hi Karol, Thanks for the reply - that makes sense of something I couldn't quite get my head around looking at what Gareth and Joe were trying to achieve... I've read the documentation and it referenced passing a RemotingHelper instance to create the connection - that's been deprecated in V4, so that...

Ventuz remoting libraries - licensing and redistribution
Hi, I'm trying to find the licensing terms for the redistribution of the Ventuz Remoting Libraries. Where can I find this info?
Cheers,
Craig

Re: Ventuz Scene Instance IDs - remoting
Hi Karol, I'll look at those two examples in detail as soon as I can. Regarding the API - A higher level wrapper would lower the barrier to entry for Ventuz I think. I'm happy working with a lower-level API, but where I feel there is definitely room for improvement is in the provision of more compre...

Re: Ventuz Scene Instance IDs - remoting
Hi Karol, OK - the Scene Tree is something we've not had to use before. This is all making a little more sense. I can see by stepping through my code that loading/validating the named scene creates it in the scene tree, but does not map it to a port. Activating the scene does that, and if I follow y...
