Re: Shaping Tool - "move selection without warping" edge bug

You are right - that feature works only in limited situations.

Ventuz 4.05.00 will have a real UV editor and support for multiple warp groups. That should solve your problems. It's a real big update!

Re: PC Bus Bandwidth

1080i60 is half the bandwidth of 1080p60. Since it is SDI, it will be YUV 422. With the Deltacast board you can switch between "Quality" (10 bit) and "Speed" (8 bit). The DVI capture may be YUV 422 or RGB444, depending on the hardware used and the Quality / Speed setting. If the live cameras are 108...

Re: Layout Configuration

We have discovered this already and prepared a fix. We plan to release the fixed version (4.04.02) next Monday or Tuesday (7th or 8th July 2014). As a workaroud, leave the AV config open all the time. As long as you don't actually change anything, it will not slow down Ventuz. Alternatively, try usi...

Re: how to connect IP Camera as a live video texture in Vent

FLV's like youtube streams are not live streams, and can be viewed with the normal movie clip node. Youtube is acting like a file server, you can seek and pause videos. IP-TV streams are real live streams, you can not seek or pause them. To view them, use the movie stream node. If you use the wrong ...

Re: A Ventuz Plyback Codec

Chriss is right. It seems the better encoding of lagarith is not worth the more expensive CPU processing. I used Lagarith extensively before SSD's where everywhere, but never beyond resolutions of 1080p. Back then the HDD was the bottleneck... Huffyuv for the win!

Re: movieFrame video buffer

Actually, when loop is on, we do buffer the beginning of the loop. The new performance statistics in Ventuz4.04 is a bit unclear about that, but you can see the effect: * load and play a movie (with a new movie clip node) * switch on performance statistics and the movie section in the statistics. * ...

Re: homographic correction in warping tool

Fortunately improving the shaping tool is on the roadmap for Ventuz 4.5, and I am just starting with it :-) If i understand correctly, keystoned projection lead to a perspective, non-linear distortion that is hard to compensate with the Bezier patches I use for warping. If that is the problem, then ...

Re: A Ventuz Plyback Codec

Video playback beyond 4k is nice if you have the video - but creating videos at that size is tedious at best. We focus our effort on giving you the ability to create content in real-time so you don't need to rely on pre-produced videos for everything. If you need to use video, you can always use cod...
