Remoting: How to differentiate between two outputs
I have created a Dual NDI setup in my Machine Configuration with Out A as Program and Out B as Preview. When I create a Cluster object and inspect the Scenes collection, I see two *defaultlayout* scenes both with PortIID of 0000. I was expecting to see one of the output as 0000 and the other as 0001...

Re: Cheapest setup for Off-Screen pipe testing
Hi Karol, thanks for the suggestion, I will give that a try.
Would the DeckLink approach work? I would still be interested in a setup where I can use an HDMI output and an off-screen pipe for testing.
Happy holidays,
Etienne

Cheapest setup for Off-Screen pipe testing
I am looking for a solution to create an Off-Screen render pipe on a non-production machine (without video output board) and was considering getting a Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K as a cheap SDI output board. At $195 it seems too good to be true, just wanted to run this idea by you guy...

Re: Starting a VPR using VMSClient.Start
Thanks, using the project ID works. The documentation leads you to believe you can specify the file name ( The project can be specified by either its fullpath on the remote filesystem ). In an effort to minimize the configuration required on a production machine, I will try modifying the VNSConfig.P...

Starting a VPR using VMSClient.Start
Is it possible to start a VPR using the VMSClient Start method? I tried doing this using the Remoting4 Demo project and I get a Requested Project not found exception. I also tried using the Proj method to have the VMS Client examine a project file at a known location on the target system but that gi...

Re: How to Deactivate a scene without Disposing of it using Remoting
In general you are correct, the deactivated scene just returns to Validated state, but if you have a scene loaded in a scene layer's port and deactivate it, it gets disposed (or at least that's what the SceneStatus code says). If you ignore the code and try to reactivate the disposed scene, you get ...

How to Deactivate a scene without Disposing of it using Remoting
I've been trying to remove a scene from a port using PortStatus(portIID, portIndex.Value, null, null, null, null) but it seems to dispose of the scene instead of simply removing it from the port. The Remoting4 Demo uses the same approach and disposes of the scene if you use the Deactivate option in ...

Re: Render specific area of scene
You can turn off the Key for that specific area. It will show in the Fill signal but it will not be visible when the signal is keyed with other video.

Displaying Message window in Runtime mode
Hello, Is there a command line option or keyboard shortcut to turn on/off the Message window at the bottom of the Runtime/Presenter window? It shows up on some of our systems (production machines with runtime-only licenses) but not on our designer machines (Designer licenses). Couldn't find anything...
