Re: Bugs
I have the same problem. Sometimes when I type in the value in Properties window or name in Hierarchy window (and pressing enter) the text keeps being drawn. Sometimes the property being edited that way becomes unresponsive too. http://i65.tinypic.com/16kz8fq.jpg Another thing: when pressing ctr-s t...

Re: Ventuz 5.2 released!
Awesome update!
I plugged in my ancient DK2 the instant I saw this announcement on my twitter feed. It works! Can't wait to port all my stuff into VR.

Re: Galactic Spectrum
Look great! And a pretty rare application of Ventuz as it is usually not used in scientific visualization. Cheers Karol Thanks Karol. I was wondering how much is Ventuz used in sci and pop-sci viz. As we live in the age of Big Data, visualization tools are becoming more and more important. We found...

Re: Protoplanetary disc and planet formation (WIP)
https://vimeo.com/155369022 So, I finally managed to find some time to screen-capture it, convert it to video and upload it. It's still labeled as 'work in progress' and probably will stay that way, because we decided to split it into three different presentations: one about electromagnetic spectrum...

Re: looking for gamer laptop with touchscreen ...
http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade this is what I use, and I really like it. -E But can this laptop run any kind of Ventuz graphics? When I tried to run my 'Protoplanetary disc' presentation on my friends' laptops, framerate dropped practically to zero (yes, we switched it's graphi...

Re: Protoplanetary disc and planet formation (WIP)
As soon as possible. I tried to capture it with Fraps, but FPS was too low and everything looked so clunky.ErikB wrote:Very nice! When it is done, can you put a clip up on Youtube? I would love to see it animated!

Protoplanetary disc and planet formation (WIP)
A few screenshots from presentation titled From Space Clouds to Planets about formation of planets and planetary systems. It was quite a challenge to depict volumetrics and particle dynamics, but I've managed to fake most of it with lots of HLSL programming. Single precision floats were a big proble...

Re: Knowledge needed for Ventuz
I think that basic knowledge of the real-time graphics rendering pipeline concept is a good starting point. There are many great learning resources about that subject on the web.

Interactive Mars
http://youtu.be/i-PUQapBcN8 An example of interactive, nonlinear Ventuz presentation used for educational/scientific purposes. This is still very much a work in progress. We modify and add features after each public display, based on user behavior and experience. Made at Technology and Innovation Ce...
