Re: Location of VMS Projects configuration

Hi Etienne, for V5 the according setting are stored in the IsolatedStorage: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.io.isolatedstorage.isolatedstoragefile I'm not sure if you are able to access this storage from another application at all. The 'file name' would be "config.xml". Best Regards

Re: VMSClient.Proj method with Path

Hi Etienne, you're right. I have no idea why these restrictions are taken into account if you specify a full path to the VPR. I will try to improve this for one of the next updates. But for you and your current version there is no workaround beside writing an own service which starts what you want.....

Re: VMSClient.Proj method with Path

Hi Etienne, it's not necessary that the VPR is located in the Ventuz project folder where it was created! BUT it must be located in a folder that was configured for VMS (RMB on VMS Icon in Taskbar -> Configure). In other words: VMS can only start Runtime with a Project or VPR in folders that it know...

Re: VMSClient.Proj method with Path

Hi Etienne,

I forgot to mention that the folder where the VPR is located must be configured in the VMS search paths.
But generally my answer from above is still valid. I just tested this.

Re: VMSClient.Proj method with Path

Hi Etienne!

You need to use VMSClient.Start()!
As argument of the method specify the full path to the VPR (e.g. "D:\Ventuz\Presentations\cube_V6.vpr").
The location of the VPR is _not_ bound to a Ventuz Project folder!

In Win Explorer activate the Preview Pane and click on the scene.
There will be the scene snapshot and version displayed.

Re: ventuz.eventson with Remoting4

Hi Etienne, you are right. DataItemChangedEventArgs.IID must be the one of the scene where the event was triggered. But this is definitely working correctly. I just tested to be sure. Are you sure that this is the right event that you are awaiting? I would recommend to double-check with our Remoting...
