- create an animation channel with ctrl+shift+f
- bind a float
- delete the float

animation channel is gone... why? if i create it manual... for my understanding it should remain

Hi,

it has always been like this. When you delete the last node connected to an animation channel, the channel gets deleted. The behaviour is the same if you create it manually or by drag a property to the animation.
If you wanna keep the channel, you have to go to the animation editor, right-click on the channel and click on the x next to 'to Node' to delete the binding.

Would it be helpful? I'm a bit afraid that once we implement that, other people write bug reports that sometimes their channel is gone, sometimes not....

but why? again more clicks than realy needed. if i create a animation channel manualy it should stay until i delete it manualy.
