Howdy,
because the Camera is a property of the 3DLayerRoot and not a property of the layer, you can also do that inside the layer. You dont need to do that from the layer level.
The property in the scene that is animated is just exposed.
Check the Camera property on the 3DLayer Root, there is also a A/B Mode to interpolate between two cameras.
