Free Shader Library A Cinema 4D live link & geometry import

Post by recordbay » 12 Oct 2016, 16:14

Hi!

1) is there a way to use the Free Shader Library A with a cinema 4D Live link? when shader apply i dont see anything

2) everytime I import an .obj and apply (i just put it at the end of the shader node) the shader from the library looks weird like(see attachment), if the uvs were wrong...but my uvs are fine in cinema 4d. any ideas?

thanks!

Hi,

in your example there is no shader involved. The plastic is a simple material using two spherically mapped textures and a colour.

BUT: there is the aocc (ambient occlusion) map and that one is object-specific. Meaning: you need to disable (Ctrl-A) the aocc node and you'll get the plastic look. If you want/need AO, you need to generate a map for your 3d model in your 3d tool. The one from the sample head won't fit any other object.

Cheers,
rou
