Property editor: copy&paste

Post by lerou » 26 Nov 2014, 15:21

Hi,

This is a feature I would really love to see!

A copy paste for the property values of a node/containers. Imagine a node/container with many set up parameters. Now you need the same parameters in another instance of that node/container. Why not copy and paste them? I've made a beatiful mockup for that :)

I know, with simple nodes usually a copy and paste will do the trick. But not always. Sometimes you have different connections on both elements and can't just replace one element.

For containers this may be limited to interface containers. There is already the possibility to drag an interface container on another one and thereby switching out the content while keeping the parameters. I'd love something like that for the parameters as well.

Thanks,
rou

Oh, while we're at it: a button to reset all parameters would also be super awesome ;)

And my colleague just threw in: how about 4 preset buttons to store/save parameter settings (only for that node).

cheers,
rou
