homographic correction in warping tool

Post by chriss0212 » 13 Jun 2014, 07:10

hi dierk

i missing (or just didn't find) a very important feature in the warping tool. if you have a projection just with some keystoning normaly it should be enough to adjust only the 4 corner points. but a keystoned projection is resulting linear distotions in the texture. at the moment you need many points to adjust it...but a "keystone filter" with homographic correction would help here A LOT.

please see attached scene....and try to adjust ;)

greetz and thx

Fortunately improving the shaping tool is on the roadmap for Ventuz 4.5, and I am just starting with it :-)

If i understand correctly, keystoned projection lead to a perspective, non-linear distortion that is hard to compensate with the Bezier patches I use for warping.

If that is the problem, then it should be easy to add an option for that.
