Deltacast SDI acquisition

Post by florian » 13 Mar 2015, 10:49

Hi guys,

I'm working around deltacast sdi and hdmi acquisition card : DELTA-3G-elp 20 and DELTA-h4k-elp 20

What i noticed :
If SDI input is at 1080p30, it will cap the Ventuz Output at 30 fps
If SDI input is at 1080p60, it will cap the Ventuz Output at 60 fps

Is there a way not to be depend of the lower input ?

With HDMI :
input resolution seems not be correctly shown
Ever showing : 1920x1080@60 what ever the input resolution (1280x720, 1280x768...)
Ventuz bug or deltacast bug ?

Cable : 1 laptop output HDMI direct into deltacast input

Do any of these case happend on your side ?

Last interrogation :
How to get back live input specification from ventuz ?
The only way I figured is to use the Deltacast SDK

Thanks for your feedback !

Have a nice day
Florian

The SDI input should not effect the Ventuz output framerate unless you check the box "synchronized". On an input that box should only be checked when input and output are genlocked together. On an output, it should always be checked.

Above the lists of outputs, there is a box labeled "framerate". This should be set to None when using DVI/HDMI/DP or to the correct output framerate when using SDI.

Thanks for your feedback (already not sync)

About HDMI incorrect information, it seems to be on DeltaCast side, to be confirmed

And about feedback from Ventuz Runtime, what would you suggest ?

Thanks,
Florian
