*.vrs resolutions are opposed to resolution defined in layouts settings. I feel that we have to do twice the same settings.

Actually if you have a closer look the Project Settings --> Format defines an aspect ratio not a resolution and the same applies to the layout scenes.

Anyway *.vrs ratio will disable layout ratio settings, isn't it.

No the RenderSetup (*.vrs) has no ratio , the ratio is still taken from the ProjectSettings --> Format.
