New Repository Items

Post by Joe Styles » 27 Apr 2012, 15:02

Is the bug where any new repository items added do not turn up in the Alphabetical Fast toolbox known about?
You can obviously work around it by going to your repository but I just wanted to check that this has been noted as it was so useful for fast working before.

Thanks!

Cannot reproduce it here.
Is it possible that you did not specify a Category for the new Repository item on the General page?
Per default this category is set to None and in this case the new Repository item does not appear in the Fast Toolbox.

Cheers

Yeah you are right it works if I set a category.. doh! This is a change I didn't notice ;)

On another note dragging from the repository does seem to have got quite slow recently, Carl seems to be experiencing the same problems with his repository. I am sure there never used to be as much lag time on dragging the node from the repository to it turning up in the hierarchy/content editor?

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

how complex is the node you drag from Rep. to the scene?
Is it also slow if you drag it to an empty scene?
How many items do you have in your Repository?

Best Regards
Karol
